In December people ask: “Do you sell gift vouchers?” Hair salons, massages, beauty, car repair, photographers or detailing. A voucher is a present that delights, and for you it is revenue that arrives before Christmas. But when vouchers are handwritten, you soon lose track of which have been used, how much is left on them and whether they are genuine.
A voucher with a code and balance
Under Finance → Vouchers and loyalty issue a gift voucher with a unique code and value. Print it and hand it over, or send it. When the customer brings it in, redeem it under Payment and invoicing directly against the issued invoice.
- Partial redemption: a CZK 2,000 voucher can be used over two visits and the balance is tracked automatically.
- Cancel a redemption if something goes wrong, and cancel a voucher, for example when refunding.
- An overview of all vouchers: which are active, how much is left and where they were used.
A loyalty programme without plastic cards
Regular customers are a small business's most valuable asset. A simple loyalty programme gives them a reason to come back: they earn points for every paid invoice. You decide how many points per crown. Points appear on the customer record and can be exchanged for a voucher. If you issue a credit note, points are adjusted automatically, so nobody earns points on refunded money.
Tips for selling vouchers at Christmas
- Mention vouchers on your company website and social profiles, ideally with a photo of a finished voucher.
- Send regular customers a bulk message: “Looking for a last-minute present?”
- Offer a voucher for a specific service, not just an amount. “A 60-minute massage” sells better than “a CZK 900 voucher”.
- Follow up in January: people who received a voucher are happy to book when reminded.
Gift vouchers and loyalty points are included in every plan, including the entry-level SOLO. More on customer communication on the Customer communication page.
